LEDGER MICHAEL HOLMES

Ledger was born on August 26th 2008 at 8:40 p.m. he weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was 18.5 inches long! As you can tell he has dark eyes and lots of dark hair! This is just a picture I took of him when he was a few days old. My sister Whitney took all the pictures on her camera at the hospital so I still need to get them from her. We also took some pictures of him yesterday at Sarah Wards house so as soon as I get them I will put them on. (I know none of you believe me but I actually have something to blog about now) My labor and delivery was fabulous and I loved all of my nurses! Not only where we blessed with the most beautiful baby boy but my husband received a job the next day that we have been hoping that he would get for a while now. Blessings do come in big doses! I would like to thank all my family for all the help that they have given us and for their love and support.
Ledger is such a good baby and we are so blessed to have him in our lives! He is a pretty good sleeper other than when he needs to go to the bathroom and the formula I have to give him slows him down. I am having trouble with having enough milk so I am taking and herb called fenugreek that so far is helping but hopefully I can produce more soon! If any one has any other tricks let me know! Babies are such miracles and I can not imagine not having him around. He makes me smile even when he keeps me up for two hours in the middle of the night I love him so very much! Please keep checking my blog it will get better I mean look how cute he is why wouldn't I want to brag about him!

Aw, how cute. Congratulations, and I'm glad everything went well. No c-section, right? I hope not (since that is what you DIDN'T want).

Congrats!

He is so cute! I had problems with not having enough milk too. Most people seem to get their milk a few days after the baby is born. I get a little then, but it took like a week and a half to finally get enough for Kate. Maybe it is in our genes! Good luck with everything.

Joni!! He is GORGEOUS!! Oh, how I have been thinking about you...I was hoping you would post about your new little guy! He is a doll, I can't wait to (gently) squeeze him! As for the milk coming in, you just sort of have to let nature take it's course - I never made very much with Cache, I always had to supplement with formula because he was a big baby. I know everything will go smoothly for you! Call me if you need anything, ok? Congrats, babe!

i'm glad everything went well for you, that always makes it a better experience. He is very cute with those dark eyes and hair. Congrats and enjoy being a new mama!

My nurse told me if i ate a bowl of oatmeal every day for two weeks, that would help. Funny thing is, it really did seem to help it.

Hi Joni!

I cannot believe what an adorable little boy you have... actually I can. Look at his parents! I cannot tell you how excited I am for you! You deserve all the happiness life has brought you in the last couple of years. I love you so much and I am so happy to see that you are so fullfilled. I will be there soon to snuggle this little guy. The sickies are leaving the McGarry house... we don't want to share, especially to little Ledger. I hope all is doing well for you. As for the milk, it can be exhausting. I almost lost my milk with Morgan but I would feed her and then pump for 20 minutes afterwards and I also took an herbal supplement. It came back but it was laborious. Enjoy every minute. I know that you are. He is adorable. I am so glad everyone is healthy and well. Love yoU!!!

SERIOUSLY HE IS GORGEOUS! What a precious little guy. Yeah, we need to actually talk. How are you? Ledger...I told you, whatever you wanted right ;) I have to come see this little guy. I will!!! I am so glad you are doing good, I hope the milk kicks in, I think after like 7 days or something you should get your milk, oh wait, 3, see I already forget. Hopefully it will come in good! Love you, and call me when your not asleep :)

Congratulations on your baby boy! He is darling! Let me tell ya, you are in for the greatest adventure of your life! I've only been a Mom for 6 months now, but I absolutely love love love it! My milk didn't fully come in for 5 days, just be patient, persistent, and make sure he eats for at least 15 minutes at a time. That helped me anyway. I missed you at the Drill Team Reunion :( So good to see pictures of your family, and yah, the memories on the Davis Ranch.

Oh my gosh, he is so cute. I am so excited for you. Have fun. I love the new born stage and every one after that. Hey you may want to try green tea, or herbal tea it is a Hawiian trick for milk. Congratulations.

Dang he is cute! I'm glad everything went well! I obviously don't know anything about breastfeeding first-hand yet, but McLane and I attended a breastfeeding class last night (which was so awesome and informative), and a lot of girls had the same concern. The nurse claimed that "frequent, frequent, frequent" feedings and pumpings in clusters helped with this. She said it was a lot of work, but worth it. She also claimed massaging helped stimulate production. Again, I don't know so I should just keep my mouth shut, but if it works, let me know ;-) She gave us two websites that she claims were really helpful for breastfeeding, too: breastfeedingonline.com and kellymom.com - Good luck!
